Royal British Legion Collar Dogs
In the exhibition below you will find examples of Cap Badges and Collar Dogs*
The British Legion Memorabilia Collectors Club thanks Mrs Tracy Fowler and
The Premier Badge Company for making this exhibition of Collar Dogs possible.
*Notes:
In the British Forces, collar badges are worn on the lapels and collars of
formal uniforms and are often called 'collar dogs'.
In many cases (especially those collar badges with a design including animals,
e.g. Lions, Tigers, Elephants, Dragons), the collar badges are made in 'facing
pairs' so that the animals face forwards or towards each other.
